FG Breakfast: FirstGen Breakfast: Founder Resilience in the Midst Of Industry Meltdown

This event is exclusively for FirstGen members.

Join us for a breakfast conversation with Cyril Berdugo, founder of Landis ($222M raised), for an authentic guide into what it takes to keep a business alive and thriving through difficult times. Landis is a prop tech startup and Cyril had to navigate rising interest rates, bank failures and funding dry up while managing a growth stage startup. Prior to 2022, there were 23 startups building in the Landis' space. Now, less than half of those companies are still operating. We'll discuss what Landis did to survive and thrive.

We'll talk about:

  • Some of the toughest team and business decisions he's had to make to keep his business thriving

  • Navigating co-founder dynamics during crises

  • The frameworks he's used to make tough decisions

  • Mistakes made and lessons learned as a CEO

  • What he's learned about himself on the journey

  • Tactical advice on staying resilient in the face of trying times

The format of this event will be a 10-15 min story followed by a 1h Q&A session. It is designed to be informal and conversational. This is an ideal event for any founder who feels like they are losing steam, are being faced with hard tradeoffs, or just want to get ahead of some of the issues all startups end up facing at some point.
